Peer Review

  1. First, the author submits the manuscript through the journal website and enters the required metadata. The submitted manuscript is then assigned by the Editor or Section Editor through the submission queue for further editorial processing.
  2. In the submission review stage, the Editor and Section Editor conduct an initial evaluation of the manuscript, including checking its suitability with the focus and scope of the Journal of Adaptive Learning, similarity score using Crosscheck-Turnitin, methodological quality, readability, and compliance with the journal template. After passing the initial screening, the manuscript is sent to at least two anonymous reviewers through a Single-Blind Peer-Review process. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript and submit their comments and recommendations to the editor.

  3. The reviewers’ comments are then forwarded to the corresponding author for revision. The author may track the review process, revise the manuscript, and resubmit the revised version according to the editor’s request. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the revised manuscript, the Editor and Section Editor reach the editorial decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection.

  4. Accepted manuscripts proceed to the submission editing stage, which includes copyediting, layout editing of formatted galleys, and proofreading. During this process, authors may review the copyedited and proofread galleys.

  5. After the editing process is completed, the manuscript enters issue management, where the editorial team creates issues, schedules submissions, and organizes the table of contents. Finally, the article is published in the journal system and archived in the journal database for indexing and future access.
